Sydney Olivia Scheller

Hi! I'm so happy you're here. I'm Sydney, a Communication Ph.D. student at Texas Tech University and strategic communication consultant. I am passionate about religious communication and critical research methods,; market research and application; creating exciting events; and effective storytelling.

I believe raising up the next generation of world-shakers in and out of the classroom is how we create true cultural change.

Publications

A paper I wrote alongside Dr. Elizabeth Jones and fellow M.A. student Nathan Vick was published in a social media influencers textbook in March 2021. The article focuses on finding patterns between megachurch pastors' social media habits and social media influencers' habits on the same platforms. This article, titled "#MarketingFaith," was adapted from my bachelor's thesis titled, "Megachurch Pastoral Online Authority and Influence Cultivation," presented at the SEARCH symposium at Asbury University in Spring 2019.
